Writers generally get little to no feedback from their readers and I am no different. Feel free to talk about anything on this site or about SF in general. I’d love to start a conversation and see where it might lead.

Mike, I apologize for my long delay in responding, but I just discovered your comment. I hope by now your have found a copy of HURRICANE and have experienced the joy of shooting holes in my rather naive descriptions.

    Dear Mr. Sparhawk,

Years ago I read a story of your called Hurricane in Analog. Since that time I have participated in the sport of paragliding. I have spoke with many pilot friends about this story and how it is the extreme of what we do. We can fly hundreds of miles on our gliders and do amazing aerobatics.

I have tried to find a copy of Analog, but have not located the edition with Hurricane. I would like to know if there is a way I could share this awesome story with our paragliding community. It would be inspirational to those that push our sport tonew levels and advance our equipment.

    Regards, Mike Daniel

Sorry to have taken so long to get back to you, Don.

COVENANT is the prequel to my novel VIXEN and sets the psychological stage for the drama taking place at the end of their voyage. I belatedly realized that some of the background culture wasn’t clear and needed expansion. Some of the characters are based on people I have regrettably encountered over the years. Thanks for the comment.

  4. Dear Mr. Sparhawk,
I have always enjoyed your stories. But, I must remark about ‘Heaven’s Covenant’ even though I have not quite finished it. The storytelling skill is great, as usual. However, I find the depth and richness of your insight into the selfish, manipulative nature of many people to be both educational and scary. I think recently we all see deceit and manipulation taken to new extremes. For many decades now, I have focused on trying to be (and encourage others to be) straightforward and honest. Thank you for all your both enjoyable and thoughtful work.
